The Isletek Community is open: ask the shops, shape what we build

Today we’re opening something we’ve wanted to build for a long time: one place where every shop on Isletek and the Isletek team talk together.

Ask the shops who’ve already solved it. Tell us what to build next. Vote for what you want sooner. And see exactly what’s coming, and when.

Four spaces, one place

• Announcements: news from Isletek, first. New features, changes, and anything you need to know.

• Roadmap: what we’re building now and next. Vote for what you want sooner, and watch it move from Planned to Released.

• Ideas: tell us what Isletek should do next. Other shops can add to it, and when we plan it, it moves to the Roadmap with your shop’s name on it.

• Questions: ask the other shops and the Isletek team. When a reply settles it, mark it as the answer, so the next shop with the same question finds it straight away.

Your shop has a say

The Roadmap is out in the open: what’s under review, what’s planned, what’s being built and what’s just been released. Your vote moves things up the list, and an idea that started in your shop keeps your shop’s name all the way to release.

How to start

1. Open Community on the left, just under Chat. On a phone, the spaces are tabs along the top.

2. Press Write, pick a space, and say what’s on your mind. Your draft is kept as you type.

3. Reply to another shop, vote on the Roadmap, and when your question is answered, press Mark as the answer.

The first time you open it, a short show-around points out the front page, the spaces and Write. Your own posts are kept together under Your posts, with new replies marked.

Who sees what

Every shop on Isletek reads the Community, and anyone can read it at isletek.co.uk/community. You show as your first name and your shop. So keep it to how you work, and leave out prices you pay, customers’ details and anything private.

Be kind, be useful, and help the shop next door. If something doesn’t look right, write to us on Support and we’ll take a look.
