Home: the band, the queue and the dashboard

Home is where your day starts. The band at the top says what needs you, Needs attention lists it, and the cards under it show how the shop is doing today. What you see depends on your role.

The band

The band shows the date, the Hebrew date and a greeting. On the eve of Shabbat or yom tov it adds when it begins and when the shop closes. One sentence counts what is waiting for you, and one button starts the first thing on the list. On the floor that button is always A delivery arrived.

Needs attention

Needs attention is the queue of things to do, first card on the board. Each row names the thing and what to press. Its count sits beside Dashboard in the sidebar.

The cards

The other cards show today's shop beside what is usual:

• Sales today, against a usual day like this one

• Busy hours, today's hours drawn over a usual day, with the hour now marked

• Tills now, a tile per till: open, idle or closed

• Running low and Not selling, from the stock

• On the floor, deliveries to count, labels to print and open claims

The tills' figures are read off the shop PC. If the shop PC needs an update to read them, the card says so. A figure that can't be read shows "—", never £0.00.

On a phone

On a phone, Home is a now-screen: the greeting, Waiting to be counted with up to three deliveries, the delivery button and My week. More than three shows a row such as "3 more deliveries waiting".

The trial banner

While the shop is on its free trial, a banner under the top bar shows the days left and the end date. Managers and up also see the hours Isletek has saved so far. The shop admin can press Upgrade. If the shop becomes read-only, Home still shows everything, but nothing can be changed.
