The shop PC
Installing Isletek on the shop PC
In this page
The shop PC is the computer that runs your till's database. Isletek runs on it to read and update the till for you. You install it once, from one file, and it keeps itself up to date.
The one file
Download IsletekConnector.exe from the first setup step on Home and run it on the shop PC. That one file is the whole program; it installs itself.
Pairing it to your shop
The program's window opens your browser to connect the PC to your shop. Sign in as the shop's admin and press Connect this PC. If another shop PC is already connected, the button says Connect and replace, and the old one stops. The link lasts 15 minutes. If the PC has no browser signed in, press Have a pairing code? and type the code Isletek gives you.
A print station
On a second computer that only prints labels, choose A PC for label printers instead. It never becomes the shop PC.
The Windows service and the tray
Isletek runs as a Windows service, so it keeps working when nobody is signed in to the PC. Its icon sits in the tray by the clock; open it to see the window.
The Status, Settings and About tabs
Status: whether the PC is connected to Isletek, and how the Semtek database, the Isletek service, updates and printers are doing.
Settings: which of this PC's printers Isletek may use.
About: this PC's details, such as the shop and the version, and Remove from this PC.
When it is connected
Settings › Devices in Isletek shows the shop PC online, with its version. Isletek then reads your suppliers from the till. If it can't read the till's database, Home says so.
