Removing Isletek from a PC

Removing Isletek from the shop PC or a print station needs your shop admin's approval. This stops anyone switching off your shop's link to the till by mistake, or without asking.

Start on the PC

On the PC, open Isletek's window and go to About, then press Remove from this PC and Remove Isletek. You can also start from Windows' Installed apps. Either way, the PC asks your shop for approval and opens a page in the browser.

The shop admin approves

The page asks the shop's admin to approve. Only your shop admin or Isletek can answer. Anyone else is told so and doesn't see which PC is asking. The admin signs in on that page and approves, or refuses.

How long it waits

The request lasts 15 minutes. If nobody answers in time, start again. If you change your mind, press Cancel on the PC. Isletek is removed only once the approval reaches the PC.

What is kept

Removing Isletek from a PC takes the program off that computer. Your shop's invoices, suppliers, products, Chat and everything else in Isletek stay as they are. Settings › Devices shows the PC as Removed, with who approved it and when. If you install Isletek on the PC again and pair it, it shows as before.
