Supplier reports
In this page
Reports are what you send a supplier about their products in your shop: what sold, what is in stock, what you returned. You build a report, check it, then send it, or let a schedule send it for you.
What a report holds
A report reads your till for that supplier's products over the time you choose. A sales report can total at the till's sales price or at cost price; each supplier has its own setting, and the report says which it used. A product with no cost is left blank, never shown as £0.
Building and checking
Building a report only shows it to you. Nothing is saved until you keep it, and nothing goes to the supplier until you send it. You can change a stock report's quantities before it is sent, and choose to send the changes to the till.
Sending it
When you send a report, the supplier gets it by email with a PDF. What you checked is what is sent.
Schedules
A schedule sends a supplier's report by itself, every week or month. If the shop PC is asleep when it is due, Isletek tries again every hour. If it is too late to be useful, it is skipped and you get a task saying so.
Returns credit claims
A returns report can wait for a credit. Isletek watches the supplier's credit notes and matches them to the report line by line, and shows how much is covered on the Claims page. A credit note for the whole month, with no products named, can be matched when it fits the report's total. The status never changes by itself: a person decides.
A credit note for till returns
Sometimes a supplier credits returns you rang up at the till. From the credit note you can tick those till returns, and they are kept as a credited returns report.
