Adding a supplier

You add every supplier through one Add window, whether it is on a portal, sends invoices by email or is a service supplier. Isletek checks the till first, so a supplier the till already knows keeps the till's spelling.

The Add window

Choose what they supply, products or services, then type the supplier's name and, if you know it, the address their invoices come from. If the name looks like a supplier you already have, Isletek asks before making a second one. A supplier you hid comes back instead of being added twice.

A supplier on a portal

When Isletek is sure which portal the supplier is on, such as TradePeg, it picks the portal for you and says why. You can change it. When it is only a guess, Isletek asks you with a Yes and never picks it on its own. When it knows nothing, it leaves the portal empty. After adding, sign in to the portal so Isletek can collect invoices and prices.

Request a portal

If the supplier is on a portal Isletek can't read yet, press Request a portal. Your request goes to Isletek, and the answer comes on your Support page. Office and up can request; the floor sees the button greyed.

A manual supplier

A supplier with no portal sends invoices by email or on paper. Give their invoice email address in the Add window, and Isletek starts reading their emailed invoices straight away. Office and up also see addresses Found in your email to pick from.

A service supplier

Add an electrician, a landlord or an accountant as a service supplier. Isletek never asks the till about them, and their bills count as expenses.

The POS link

Each goods supplier is linked to its company in the till. Isletek finds it, or creates it in the till when it is not there. If the shop PC is off, the link waits and is made when the PC is back. If the POS step fails, press Try again beside it.
