Tasks and the calendar
Tasks are jobs one person gives another, with a due date. The calendar shows them by day, with the shop's closed days and seasons. Both sit under Home › Tasks & calendar in the sidebar.
The lists
My tasks: the tasks given to you.
All open: every open task you can see.
Done: tasks that have been closed.
Archived: tasks put away.
A task with something new for you shows in bold with a dot.
Giving a task
Press New task. Give it a title, the person, a due date and any notes. The person is sent an email when you give it to them. A private task is seen only by the person who made it and the person it is given to.
Changing a task
A task opens in its own window. Press Edit to change it, then Done editing. Each change saves on its own. Notes have their own Save. Only the person given the task, the person who made it or a manager can change its status, its person or who sees it.
Mentions
Type @ in the notes or a comment to name a product, a supplier or another thing in Isletek. Each one becomes a link under Connected to.
Closing a task
Tick a task when the job is finished. It keeps who closed it and when, and who opened it again. A repeating task makes its next one when it is closed.
The calendar
The calendar shows tasks on the day they are due. Overdue tasks show on today, and the next times of a repeating task are drawn hollow. The key doubles as a filter: press a kind or a person to hide or show them. Weeks start on Sunday. The days the shop is shut, and the yom tov days it closes for, are marked closed. The shop's seasons, such as Pesach, show in a strip above. Press Calendar again to come back to today.
