Bag lookup: a forgotten bag
In this page
Bag lookup finds whose bag was left at the counter. Scan a few things from the bag, and the tills answer with the sales that rang them. It is for the office and up, since a sale's customer and basket are the shop's business.
Scan the bag's products
Scan three or four things from the bag, one after another. You can also type or paste the barcodes. Up to eight scans count. Each scan shows as a chip with the product's name, or "not on the till" if the till doesn't know it. Press × on a chip to take it away.
Choose how far back
The span starts at today and yesterday. Pick a longer span, up to 90 days, if the bag has been waiting.
The sales that rang them
The sales that rang most of your scans come first, newest next. Each sale shows:
the time and the till
who served
the account customer and their phone, when the sale was rung to an account
the total and the basket, with your scanned lines marked Scanned
Look again
Every new scan asks the tills again. Press Look again to ask once more without a new scan.
When it can't answer
Bag lookup reads the tills through the shop PC. If the shop PC is off or needs an update, the page says so. It is the Bag lookup app in the Marketplace; while the app is off, the scan field can't be used.
