Printing and labels
Designing a label
In this page
The label designer is where you draw your own shelf labels. A design says what prints where on the label: the name, the price, the barcode, the offer, the hechsher. Office staff and above can make designs. Label designs and the designer are in Studio › Labels on the rail; Settings › Printing links there too.
The designer
Place each part of the label in a box, and choose its font, size and alignment. Preview a product to see the design with real details. Search for it by name, code or barcode.
A design from a photo
In Label designs, press Upload your own, then From a photo. Say whether the photo is already printed on your paper. If it is, the photo is only a guide behind the design and never prints. If not, it prints under the name and price. Place the words saves the design and opens it in the designer.
Designs from Semtek
Bring in the tag designs you used in Semtek with Upload your own, then From Semtek. Press Look for my Semtek labels: the shop PC finds them and Isletek lists what it found. Tick the ones you want, and only those are brought in, ready to print. A design already brought in shows In Isletek and isn't ticked. At the end, Isletek lists any to check and any left out, and why.
Prints on
Every design is drawn for one paper. You design the label the way you read it. The paper decides whether it is turned on the roll. The printer is then whichever one is loaded with that paper.
The hechsher font
A hechsher prints as its stamp in the hechsher font. A product with several hechsherim prints each one, side by side.
Using a design
Choose which design each kind of label prints with in Settings › Printing.
