Invoices
Credit notes and claims
In this page
A claim asks a supplier for money back: goods short, damaged, wrong or past their date. Claims has a view for each stage, as rows in the sidebar. Isletek links the supplier's credit note to the claim when it arrives.
Raising a claim
Press Raise a claim, pick the supplier and the products, and say what went wrong. Add photos of any damage: up to eight, 5 MB each. A count that comes up short drafts a claim for you.
Open
Claims not yet settled: drafts, and claims sent to the supplier.
Needs approval
A claim raised by floor staff waits here for a manager. Open it and press Approve and send to send it to the supplier, or Decline with a note.
Credited and Rejected
A claim ends in one of these two views: the supplier gave the credit, or turned the claim down.
Credit-note matching
When a credit note from that supplier arrives after the claim and names the same product, Isletek links the two by itself. A credit note that names other products is never linked. Nor is one dated before the invoice you claimed against. To link one by hand, open the claim and choose the credit note from its list.
A credit note is used up once every product on it is covered by a claim. After that it isn't offered again.
Returns in the till
When a claim for returned goods is matched, Isletek writes the returns into the till by itself. That covers damaged, mouldy, wrong or short-dated goods, or goods out of temperature. A short delivery never goes in, because those goods never arrived. This needs the shop PC to be on.
