Printing and labels
Sizes, drafts and Isletek's designs
In this page
A design is drawn for a size, kept as a draft while you work, and prints only once you publish it. Isletek's own design is there for every size.
Size
Every design is drawn for a size. Size lists the sizes your printers hold first, then every size the shop knows, then Something else… for a width and height you type in millimetres. Pick a Pre-printed paper under it when your labels already carry a logo or a band: its picture shows faint behind the label and never prints.
Publish
The designer saves your draft by itself a moment after every change; the words beside the name say when. Nothing prints from a draft: press Publish when you are happy with it, and every printer and every pick reads that version from now on. Discard draft, in the ⋯ menu, goes back to what is published. If somebody else is changing the design, Isletek says so when you open it: take it over, or look without changing it.
Make it yours
Isletek's designs are in the Designs window under Isletek's, one for every size. Open one to see it; press Make it yours to keep a copy under your own designs, published and ready to print. When Isletek improves a design you copied, one line says so: see what changed, then update your draft or keep yours.
Copy to another size
To have the same label at another size, choose Copy to another size in the ⋯ menu and pick the size. The copy opens as a new draft; anything that does not fit at the new size is outlined for you to move or make smaller. With more than one shop, Copy to another shop puts the design in the other shop as its own.
