Supplier statements
In this page
A statement lists what a supplier says you owe. Isletek records each one on the supplier's Statements view and checks it against the invoices you hold and against QuickBooks. You don't need to sort statements by hand.
How statements arrive
An emailed statement is recorded by itself: Isletek knows it by its subject, its file name or its page. A statement you upload as an invoice is filed under the supplier's statements instead. For paper, upload it on the Statements view.
Statements with invoices inside
Some suppliers send one PDF with a statement on top and every delivery's invoice behind it. Isletek splits the file and files each invoice on its own. An invoice you already hold is skipped, which is normal: the periods overlap.
Coverage
Each statement says which of its invoices and credit notes Isletek holds. It also says which are missing, and which you hold for that period that the statement doesn't list. A statement with missing documents opens a task that names each one. When a missing invoice arrives later, press Re-check all.
The balance
Each statement should open where the last one closed. If it doesn't, the statement shows both figures. Press Accept their figure, or Query with them to draft an email to the supplier. The figures themselves never change.
In the books
With QuickBooks connected, each row says where it stands there: Paid, Owed, In QuickBooks or Not in QuickBooks. Not in QuickBooks is red and gives the reason underneath.
Settlement invoices
Some suppliers bill in two layers: a delivery note each week, then a monthly invoice with one line per note. That invoice has no prices to check. Its only question is whether the notes you hold add up to it.
