Suppliers
The Suppliers page
In this page
The Suppliers page lists every company your shop buys from or pays. Isletek reads your suppliers from the till, so the names are spelled the way your till spells them. Open a supplier to see how it is doing and to change how Isletek works with it.
The list
Each supplier shows its picture, or its initials when it has none. A supplier you no longer use can be hidden; hiding keeps all its invoices and history. When the till brings in a new supplier, Isletek asks you once whether to keep it or hide it.
A supplier's overview
The overview shows what the supplier's products sold at the till: the Sold · 30 days figure and the Sellers card, with its Top and Rising views. When the shop PC is offline you see the last figures Isletek had, marked "last known", never a made-up zero.
Goods and service suppliers
A goods supplier sells you products that go through the till. A service supplier is someone like an electrician, a landlord or an accountant. Isletek never checks a service supplier's invoices against the till; its bills count as expenses. A manager can change a supplier from goods to service. A supplier on a portal is always a goods supplier.
Supplier portals
Some suppliers have an ordering portal, such as TradePeg. When you are signed in to it, Isletek collects their invoices and prices by itself. If a portal stops answering, Isletek keeps trying and tells you. If Isletek can't read a portal yet, the supplier page says so.
Price updates, Orders and Reports
The column beside the list takes you to Price updates, Orders and Reports. Price updates holds new prices from invoices, emails and price lists. Orders holds every supplier's orders, newest first. Reports holds the reports you send to suppliers.
